Nele Tuznik, Franka Heers and Julia Redepenning were prize winners in the Yooweedoo Ideas Competition 2022 and now presented their idea Tuedelbord in the Flensburger Tageblatt. Other Flensburg Yooweedoo prize winners are, for example, the loan shop "Leila" and the "Waldquallen", which grows edible mushrooms on coffee grounds.
"Our project is not the board itself, but we offer workshops where women can build their own board," Franka Heers specifies. "When you work a lot with start-up projects, you want to try it out," says Nele Tuznik. At Tuedelbord, the aim is to get into the "maker scene", even without any technical knowledge or experience. For her daughter's first birthday, Franka Heers completed the Tuedelboard that her colleague Nele Tuznik had started to build.
You can already get many boards on the internet, but they are "disproportionately expensive", says Franka Heers. The workshop aims to motivate women to implement individual ideas in open workshops like the Flensburg FabLab. "That sounds like rocket science," says Heers with a smile. By recycling materials, a disused vanity mirror, for example, is given a new lease of life at the Tuedelboard.
Nele Tuznik describes the trio as very good at pulling off things that have to be done because they have a deadline, for example. In the Yooweedoo competition, you have to bring at least one comrade-in-arms. There are also already some ideas about how to continue with the workshops, the three say in the SHZ interview.
