Blue Logo of conVenture

To everyone interested in start-ups,
dear young entrepreneurs (to be),

We are very excited to invite you to join us and the ever-growing German-Danish start-up community at the "conVenture - nordic Start-Up convention".

PLACE & TIME:
On Thursday, 21 November 2019
in the Audimax at 4 p.m.
(Thomas-Fincke-Str. 18, D-24943 Flensburg)

There will be two great start-up stories with exciting insights into the world of entrepreneurship. And they are just two among a number of highlights awaiting you:

  • Keynote from Ulrik Ortiz Rasmussen (Baltic Business Angels Schleswig-Holstein): Ulrik will honour us with a keynote with a very promising title: "Entrepreneurs are the elite of today's society!"
It will be about the value of disruptive innovations, the art of creating business and takings risks.

  • Pitching-Session: For the first time we will have four really short pitches from Start-Ups that have a booth at our Start-Up Pier. It will happen between the two Start-Up Stories (see below).

The two Start-up Stories we have for you this time are:

  • How to scale a niche.
Janus Beck Wilke (Blue Monkeys in Space / BodyMod) will take us on a journey into their internationally running business - and all started from the small town Augustenborg (near Sønderborg) with less than 4.000 inhabitants. They found a big niche and they will share their story with us.

  • Founding a foreign idea. Trust the unexpected.
Tobias Schütz and Lennart Hahn (Pinball Factory) will give us a brief look into the matter of starting your own company with a foreign idea. This is also a perfect opportunity to start your own business when you team up with someone that has many good business ideas in mind but not enough time to realise them all alone.

Please be aware that you have to register for free, if you want to join this conVenture here: www.eveeno.com/conVenture6.

START-UP PIER

Line-up of the conVenture 2019

P.S.: In case, you don’t know the conVenture yet:

The conVenture is a networking event dealing with everything around start-up in the German-Danish border region. It is a place where start-ups (and start-ups to be), people offering support for founders, experienced business people, investors and people interested in entrepreneurship and starting a company can meet.
Next to start-up stories from young founders, our main focus is on networking and the Start-up Pier, a small fair presenting regional campus start-ups.
he conVenture is a joint event by the German and Danish
VentureWærft docks. The Dr. Werner Jackstädt Centre for Entrepreneurship and SMEs, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Flensburg, the Technologiezentrum Flensburg, the University of Southern Denmark (Entrepreneurship Labs & Mads Clausen Institute) and Sønderborg Iværksætter Service.
In addition to these partners, the VentureWærft consists of experienced business people and start-ups from the region.

The VentureWærft is supported in its work as a part of the Grenzland INNOVATIV Schleswig-Holstein [innovative border region Schleswig-Holstein] project “innovative university” initiative funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Joint Science Conference.
